RIC-NET JOINS KYEGEGWA TO CAMPAIGN FOR BETTER EDUCATION

In an effort to improve the education standards in kyegegwa District, the kyegegwa Town council officials have organised a one day education conference to discuss the challenges in education of the District and draw strategies for improved education performance in schools.
The Education conference will take place on 30th July 2014 at the community Hall with several participants from the community, political representation,Educationists, civil servants a nd CSOs.

 

RIC-NET as a partner in Education amplified the preparations For the D-day with a one Hour talk show at Life Fm on 24th july  hosted by the Programme manager RIC-NET  Ms.Kyomuhendo Joselyne, the Mayor kyenjojo town Council and the Assistant Town Clerk Mr.Mwesige Hussein.As part of  her wider education programs RIC-NET has supported  schools and teachers with ICt enabled learning to break the monotony of talk and chalk, mentoring of girls in secondary schools through partnership with CEDA International,school dropouts and young  Girls in conflict affected areas  supported with  counsellingVocational skills, ICT training where some have  already got employed in secretarial Bearues and others owning their Business. RIC-NET would like to continue with amplfying the citizens voice in areas of Education in the whole region, as it was realised in the radio talk show the community needs continued sensitisation about packing lunch for the children , provision of scholastic materials and the Education conference which brings together different stakeholders to discuss regularly on  the wayforward  in Education . kyegegwa Town will hold its first education conference on 30th wednesday 2014 and among the guest speakers is the Education consultant Mr fagil Mandy .
