RIC-NET Awarded a QUAM Standard Certificate

RIC-NET was among the 20 local  and International NGOs in Uganda  awarded by the QUAM Standard Certificate based  on the rigorous evaluation done by the National NGO QUAM Council.
Quality Assurance Mechanism (QUAM) is an initiative of NGOs in Uganda to self regulate themselves and ensure quality of service to the citizens.
The award ceremony  held on 7th August 2014 at Hotel Africana in Kampala, was preceded by  the  4th National QUAM Assembly under the theme "Building an Accountable Civil Society"
So far, about 80 NGOs in uganda have been awarded the QUAM certificate since 2010.
This NGO self assessment mechanism  requires an organization  to freely apply for assessment to ascertain their adherence to quality. The National QUAM Council carries a phisial assessement of the organisation and interviews members of the community about the impact of this organisation to asertain proof for the award of the QUAM certificate.
So, This award proves that RIC-NET is now an organization that is recognized as fully credible, legitimate among other CSOs, has shown to be accountable to the community and members  with clear impact at the grassroots.
