The project is implemented by RIC-NET
and it focuses on offering a range of capacity development services or
tailor-made training for youth with age “15-30”, skills development and
entrepreneurship for dropouts and practical skills to training for graduates of
institutions.
The
project targets skilling School dropout Girls, Conflict affected School girls or who need to be in School,
and unlock potentials of poor youth.
RIC-NET conducted interviews on 16th July 2014 at BRIC
and Kasese e-society centres in Kasese District; and on 22nd July at Kamwenge e-society.
The interviews were meant to select girls who
would benefit from the project. As selection criteria of the project beneficiaries is: The girl must in serious vulnerability status
and mostly having been in some way or another affected by conflict or war. A young lady
between 15-30 years. Has a true & touching story from the
experiences of the conflict or other form of severe vulnerability.Has a dream for the future and able to work
towards that dream.

“Uwizeye
Naume , Aged 20 years, she is an orphan who lost both parents during the ADF
war, now staying with her step mother who is a peasant in Kihaara, Kasese
district. She stayed in Kyangwali refugee camp and completed
senior four in 2013 from Kyangwali SS Hoima but could not continue with school due to lack
of school fees. she is interested in gaining computer skills to start a
secretarial bureau for herself.”
