The project is jointly funded and implemented by Rwenzori
Information Centre Net work (RICNET) and Global Fund for Children. RICNET
contributes 403,000= per girl for a full package of Six month Training at CEAKA training centre in Rwamwanja and provides training materials and start up kit to each
beneficiary.
Training Details: The project involves the following activities in addition to
Vocational skills training:
- Counseling of Girls and Mentoring of Girls. Sessions of carrier guidance to girls are always are organized. These sessions are after Behavioral change as refugee girls and other Youth out of Schools come with Vices that are contrary to learning
- Reproductive health Education: As the girls we support are all of reproductive age, reproductive health packages including Health rights, youth problems, Life skills are given to them to help them cope up with life natural passions etc
- Communication Skills: Being business students, it is imperative to train them on business communication, interpersonal relationships among others to enhance their knowledge and meet dynamic world. 8 Sessions are organized.
- Entrepreneurship and small business management: Entrepreneurship being a livelihood lesson is integrated in the whole training processes to enhance their knowledge to enable them is able to deal with customers who will come for Tailoring and Hair dressing services. bi-Weekly sessions is organized on entrepreneurship
